The Importance of Our Mental Health as Children and Adults
Karen Gibb
Educator, Founder and Director
“Being an anxious youngster myself, with no wellbeing toolbox to lean on, I’m passionate about empowering children so they don’t feel lost like I did.”
When I was as a school teacher, one thing kept leaping out at me – children struggle to manage emotions. Given my experiences as a child, it unlocked my drive to change that.
I founded Mind Marvels in 2018 while I was still a teacher (like I wasn’t busy enough!). But, it was a fantastic way to develop my methods and techniques as I could practise them in my classroom, and monitor the results.
As Mind Marvels gained momentum, I reduced my hours at school and went out into the community and also supported families.
As they say, the rest is history!

Mind Marvels has unlocked more than just financial freedom for me.
It has allowed me to fill the gaps I saw in the education system in a way that truly impacts children.
And you know what? I live and breathe wellbeing which has transformed my life too.
I’m no longer that anxious youngster who was held back in life. I have my own wellbeing toolbox – and Mind Marvels gave me that.
Also, during sessions with children, teachers tell me how much they get out of it too.
I’m so proud.
But, I want to pay it forward because I couldn’t have done this alone. Many people helped me on my entrepreneurial journey; I’ve made mistakes, had successes, and despite loving the experience, it is hard.
That’s why I created this franchise. And you can be part of our team.
It’s more than a business model. We are transforming young lives together.
It’s my way of giving you the same experience through Mind Marvels, minus the mistakes and hardships of getting a business off the ground.
You’re determined to make a difference to the next generations too, so let’s have that chat.

How I look after my wellbeing:
• Staying active releases the endorphins that I need to feel confident in life and business
• Escaping real life through books and TV gives me the mental space for more lightbulb moments
• Travelling and different cultures keeps life in perspective
